*shovelhead wins*

I recently passed 10 years as a member here, and am quickly approaching 20,000 posts. In honor of these milestones, I wanted to offer a little something back to the members here, as a "Thank You" for helping to make this one of the best spots on the web.

Up for Karma is a $100 Amazon.com gift card.

The winner will be chosen by the Karmanator in one week OR when I hit 20k posts OR whenever interest/entries wane and I decide to end it.

To enter, you must meet the following six criteria:

1) Have been a member for at least 1 year.

2) Be a participating member with at least 100 posts, and the majority of your posts must be outside the Classifieds and New Member sections.

3) Have an email in your profile, and respond to my email if you win.

4) Have an Amazon Smile account set up. This is free, and simply involves going to smile.amazon.com, logging into your Amazon account, and choosing a charity. Then, when you do your Amazon shopping from smile.amazon.com, a portion of your purchase is donated to your chosen charity. Otherwise, it is identical to shopping at the normal Amazon.com.

5) Spend the Amazon gift card through smile.amazon.com, and I suggest doing all your Amazon shopping from there. (This one's on the honor system...)

6) Post which charity you've chosen to support through Amazon Smile.

My Amazon Smile funds go to "Concerns of Police Survivors", which helps the families of LEOs who are killed in the line of duty.

Unlucky first! My Smile account is set up for Doctors Without Borders. Apparently I had set one up and forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder, and the chance at the Karma!

My Amazon Smile goes to the owl thingy. Is that Hawk Talk? I believe so.

Yours, re police survivors, also looks like a great choice. There are a number of worth while organizations out there, that need our contributions to survive. Too many to make a rational choice, really.

In any event, good on you for being around here as long as you have been, for making many of the really top quality informative posts, and for being A Good Guy, in general.

Please include me in your karma.

Thank you.
Edit: I just looked back at the small sample of posts in this thread. 50% of them, so far, have ignored your requirement # 6, and just said the equivalent of "I'm in." Roll Eyes

Congratulations on these milestones!

Please include me and, if I’m selected, my Amazon Smile charity choice would be the Alabama Historic Ironworks Foundation, Inc.

I was not aware of amazonsmile, I just created the account and will try to always use it when purchasing through Amazon. I chose the American Cancer Society.

Thanks for the chance at this very generous Karma.

Congrats on the milestones! And thanks for your contributions to this forum.

Please include me in your generous karma. On my Amazon Smile account I have chosen the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
