Years ago when I was working, there was some easy way to enter data. I was on a PC then, but it was alt or alt control whatever and it would enter whatever words or characters you had set it up to. I am on a Mac now, but I am getting tired of having to type the same thing several times a day.

Although it may not be as direct as you want, if you can draft in something like Microsoft Word, it has an autocorrect feature that will convert a specific thing you designate and type into something like an email address. For example, I have Word set up to automatically convert cix into counterintelligence. That’s one reason why I usually first draft long emails or forum posts in Word then copy and paste into the appropriate form. ► 6.4/93.6 “It is peace for our time.” — Neville the Appeaser

My e-mail host automatically offers possible addresses for me to click when I enter a single letter or a couple of letters. If the intended recipient is one I contact often, the address will be one offered. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Isn’t your email connected to your contact list? You click in the To then your contact list comes up and you select the address. You could even set up a distribution list that groups a bunch of email addresses together. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I have used TextExpander for many years now and it works to do what you are asking, on Mac platforms… Additional options including built in Mac keyboard shortcuts are reviewed here: Text expander apps for Mac OS Enjoy, Kevin

Google “Text Replacement on Mac”. I use the feature on my iPhone and iPad where I have “@@“ setup to convert to my email address when I type it. Makes using the keyboard on those way easier. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…

'Auto Clicker' extension on Chrome can automate items on web pages - like put in your email on a form that doesn't allow chrome's built-in autocomplete to work. It's webpage-specific, but if you have something you use every day, it's worth 10 minutes to set it up. My work email address is 39 characters. There are 2 sites that I have to type it out every damn time, I used autoclicker to put the email in & my hand doesn't leave the mouse to log in, at least until I have to answer the phone & press #.

You can use the built in text shortcuts on MacOS X and iOS. Say I want to put in a long email I set up an unusual set of letters that will be replaced. I use “ggg” for a long and often used email address. System Preferences … -> Keyboard -> Text Then use the Replace/With fields.
