A New York cop was "assassinated" while sitting in her marked patrol car early Wednesday in what NYPD commissioner James O'Neill called an "unprovoked attack."

Bonds was on parole for a 2014 robbery in Syracuse, The New York Post reported.

He had up to six different aliases and had recently posted content critical of law enforcement officers on a social media site, a source told The Daily News.
Miosotis Familia, 48, died at a hospital early Wednesday, and her suspected shooter died during a separate confrontation with police, who encountered the man running a few blocks away. An uninvolved bystander was shot in the stomach during that incident, but was in stable condition at a hospital, The New York Daily News reported.

"Let's be clear: This was nothing less than an assassination of a police officer," a source told The Daily News. "Our understanding is she was filling out her memo book and he walked out and fired one round."

Officials said the attack happened in the Bronx just after 12:30 a.m. while Familia was sitting in her vehicle with her partner. Her partner radioed for help while other officers spotted the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Bonds, and began chasing him.

Bonds drew his revolver on police before they began shooting, authorities said.

She joined the force at age-36, that's a major life change when most people are mid-stream in their careers.

Hard to believe this hate-on-blue crime wave got going in 2014, going-on 3 years, when Officer Wilson had to put-down Baby Huey in Ferguson and Officers Liu and Ramos were gunned down in their patrol car not far from where Officer Familia was shot and killed.

I was a teenager in the 1970s when homicides of polices officers were at an all time high. In my opinion with all of the hate talk coming from the left, I feel that attacks on police will only get worse.
