Re: “have got our six”. That’s a British expression I hadn’t heard before.
It's an expression used by people who fight other people, on the ground or in the air, and implies that you have a buddy who is looking after your back.
The phrase is also used by Americans in the military, law enforcement, etc.

Flooding is no good. Had flooding around here this past summer and the big one “the 500 year flood” as the Corp of Engineers called it in 2011. People out of homes, scumballs stealing, towns divided by what we called “Hadrian’s Wall” and berms to keep the waters back. Flooding is no good.
