You would not believe what I saw being held together with the military version called 100 Mile An Hour Tape...

ETA: I did see them mention that in the video

I learned something new today, had always thought it as DUCT tape and the term DUCK tape was a corruption, it's the other way around!

Star Wars tape, it has a light side and it has a dark side and together they hold the world in one piece.

Just another day in paradise.

The You tube Project Farm channel has a review of several brands, albeit five years old.

When I was in the Navy, we had a tape called HP Tape. Very similar to duct tape but had fairly strong threads imbedded. Great stuff.

In the Navy we had EB Green Tape. Electric Boat Shipyard built submarines with it. Maybe.

I was born and bred a northeastern yankee, then moved to a part of Florida that is like yankee-land with palm trees and orange juice.

My first real encounter with southern culture was a software contract assignment in the Birmingham AL area.

The host engineers were really friendly, and helped me acclimate. They told me that there were three things that I would never hear anybody in Alabama say:
  1. "This tea is too sweet."

  2. "There's too much primer on that pickup truck."

  3. "You can't fix that with duct tape."

I carry duck tape with me on duty all the time.
Useful for minor car accidents to temporary tape up loose bumpers, fenders or covers under the motor that come loose in accidents.

A temporary fix to get them on the road again and an easier non reportable accident report for me.

I must have passed out 2,000 rolls of this stuff in my @40 years has a railroad supervisor. The crews would use it to tape over any potential drafts in the locomotives. Some guys would complain about giving the tape out. My thought was if a $5.00 roll of duck tape gets a crew outa town….I’m all for it!
