Why can't they make one that's fully automated? You know, one that pulls the rubber band back and releases by itself. Razz

Yeah, having to pull back the rubber band every time is a deal breaker for me.

As a child, my preferred personal weapon was the Wrist Rocket. Even got proficient shooting it while riding my bike. Still have one. And I want the one from the video!

Those narrow forks put a premium on technique, are those dings at the bottom of the throat? Not just eye protection, a mouth guard too?

I'd play with one but I see no info in the thread.

Doesn’t look like it would work with taconite pellets.

Taconite pellets are my chosen ammo. Free, too! Only drawback is they stain the pouch red.

Back in the day in SE WI, we’d ride our bicycles a couple of miles to a particular curve in the railroad tracks to get ours and had no clue what it was beyond free ammo. Then my parents bought 7 acres on a lake near Watersmeet and took us to Iron Mountain for the tour.

I had one of those at age 9.
Neighbor window caught a mysterious hole that ended in a lecture about how someone could have been killed.
Found Wrist Rocket on closet shelf a few years after my dad died. Dang - thought that thing was gone!

I remember well getting my Wrist Rocket. Went to an "outdoor show", the legendary Eldeman's had a large presence there. We looked at them, dad asked if I wanted one? Obviously I did, despite the fact that we had a couple sling shots at home. His next question was "Do you have somewhere you can hide it?" Big Grin Followed by "Don't tell mom." Smile

I guess they weren't a Felony in NY yet back then. It's still kicking around the house somewhere, 46+ years later, though I don't think it's had tubes on it since the late 80's.

For some dumb reason I ordered a sling shot last November, though I still haven't touched it.

Those are regulated by ATF.
