So I have noticed that the new rage around these parts is for all the Central Americans to have a Gadsden Flag vanity plate. Just a year ago there was talk about it being racist  . Now it has been adopted by Hispanics. Anyone know the reasoning behind this?These are not second or third generation people of Hispanic origin. These are fresh off the boat non English speaking ones. Maybe they like the idea of freedom and for govt to leave them the fuck alone? In Hampton roads a lot of the younger kids with tuner cars like to have those plates. I want to believe they know and support the meaning behind that flag but in their mind they probably just want to street race, break the law and be left alone. This is "what it means" to the vast majority of those who fly it, in my experience. And that's good enough for me. I've never noticed any relationship between those who fly it and color or race. | |||
