MNSIGNew steam treatment for an enlarged prostate eliminates surgery
^^^^^
The "in office" aspect makes me think they are not talking about general anesthesia. Whoever decided that sticking something up the dick of a conscious patient is in any way acceptable is crazy.

I’m pretty sure I would have to get knocked out or hit on the head with a large hammer at the very least before that happens.

RipleyFollow up today for prostate surgery a year ago.
Pee in a cup, trace blood, scope time.
My first scope was 2006, leading to TURP surgery. As they used what I think was a modified compression tester back then, I was more than a little concerned. Well, shitting bricks.
It turns out that in 2018, the equipment is much better. What had been pure torture is now a bit uncomfortable. The test showed no problem, I'm a truly happy camper this afternoon. Fear not the scope.
