I texted him a couple of the questions. He’s not ready to take orders yet. He’s still experimenting with different ways and styles of knives. He did make the bolsters by hand. He said that he tried twice to make them out of brass and failed. He then went with steel and it was very tedious. That's very cool! I've been a longtime custom knife collector and appreciate what he did. Leaf springs can make some very tough knives. Jimmy Fikes is a legendary knifemaker and was pioneer in forging. He told me once "I'll go down to the salvage yard and get a good leaf spring for your knife." "Nature scares me" a quote by my friend Bob after a rough day at sea. | |||
