Actually, it holds as many as can fit. Those partitions are customizable (Velcro attached). That was the main reason I went with it. I think there are official range bags that do this, but I haven't seen many and this one was perfect anyway.

I love my old Sig Sauer bag from the CDNN era. There is an updated version with back straps.

Yeas ago, I went to Marshall's and bought a small size carry on from their luggage department.

I wanted something that would hold a decent amount of stuff and not scream gun or valuables.

It has a couple of compartments inside and out.

Holds everything I need for a trip to the range.

A couple of pistols, targets, ammo, safety gear.

Going on 10 years of regular use and works fine.

I have the Midway bag and it is perfectly functional but not unobtrusive. Several years ago I wait he’s to a Husky rolling toolbox from Hime Depot. Works great.

My go to anymore is a pelican case with condition 1 foam cutout for pistols and magazine. Then I take a tool bag with my ears, eyes, ammo, and misc.

For dedicated range trips to a non-public range, I would suggest the Vertx range bag.

Photos bag are good as well.

I used to have a big range bag and over time it got to be ridiculously heavy. I found if there was room in the bag I would just fill the space. I also found I didn't use 95% of the stuff in the bag on a range trip.

I decided to use a smaller satellite bag that hold everything I need on a typical trip. Holds ammo, a couple of pistols, hearing protection and extra mags. has a pocket for my staple gun and some other sundries like a tube of grease and some patches.

Lots of good suggestions. So far, the bag that’s in the lead for me is the Loadout Range Bag from Elite Survival Systems. I have two of their rifle cases and I enjoy them. Even though the bag is black, the interior is entirely coyote brown. It also has a water bottle pouch on one end and that is a huge plus for me. The bottom of the bag has luggage rails so you won’t get it soaked if you set it down in wet gravel or grass.

I've had a lot of bags over the past 15 years of shooting, always changing to find what fits my needs the best. The Midway USA bags are nice and simple, and very closer to what you get from 5.11 or LA Police Gear. I've also used the GPS Tactical rolling bag and their backpack; both were nice, but they wound up being too big for my 2-3 pistol range trips. Once I was introduced to Savior Equipment, I sold the GPS backpack (previously sold the rolling bag).

So far I'm VERY HAPPY with the Savior Specialist range bag, and even bought a Specialist Mini for when I want to head to the range on two wheels.

Heavy duty tool bag. I have a huge one made by Metabo in Germany, but pretty much any of them will work. Size appropriate for your needs...mine is huge because I have to play "range mom" to a bunch of irresponsible cops, so it's full of tools, spare batteries, extra eye and ear pro, and a huge binder with paperwork. But they make smaller ones. Mine lives almost permanently in the back of my squad. It has held up way better than the 5.11 duty bag that I was using before that.

I have a smaller pistol bag from Springfield Armory that I got for free with a 1911 purchase about 5-6 years back. I use that one for quick trips to the range by myself, with just one or two guns. It's starting to fall apart, though, so I'll probably be shopping again here before too long. I'll probably get another tool bag, just smaller.

I thought I had to have a traditional bag. I find that I like the smaller size bags like 5.11 single pistol bags with mag loops work okay. Yes, the ear muffs are outside the bag but the small bag fits in the secret compartment of The Little Blue Car so much better.

I also have the GPS roller and really like it. My range has a smooth cement walkway from the parking lot making it a no brainer.

I have a bunch of these. Roomy, tons of pockets and compartment, with nice divider for full/empty mags, plenty of space - you will run out of weight before you run out of volume.

Heavy duty tool bags are the way to go. II got one from Duluth trading ~20 years ago. Its scuffed and dirty, but no rips or holes. plenty strong to hold > 30lb of ammo and range supplies.
