The only proof I need is Trump's word. Donald Trunp does not lie.

Ha, ha, ha, ha. You believe that? If the Dems/left lie, how do you know the GOP/right don't? Vince

Yes, each case is different, but this isn't a lets settle because fighting it is more expensive then settling it. This is where Dominion sued FOX for defamation. Fox's only way out was to try it or settle it. You know there is a discovery period before trial? Both sides get to basically see what the other side has. Dominion and FOX would have engaged in discovery. FOX's lawyers would have reviewed what Dominion produced as discovery and what "evidence" they had. Seems to me they settled and cut their losses. Or to put it another way, FOX would have had to prove there was election fraud, they didn't. Oh, as for fraud, how come so many GOP have gotten convicted of some sort of election fraud? Vince
Oh, and we are a democracy/republic and the will of the majority should control. Vince
By your logic if the majority voted to reinstate slavery, that would be okay? We are a republic not a democracy. Under Construction

Absolutely this was a decision by FOX that it was cheaper to settle. They are a business. The $ is everything. Fighting not only risked losing, it entailed a long period of time when the left would drag them through the mud. Future advertising revenues were at risk, which could be big enough to put them out of business. Remember that the left was pretty successful in getting companies to withdraw advertising from conservative or Trump supporting outlets. If they lost, the award could have been much larger than the amount sought.

Like I said you are being ridiculously dramatically over simplistic. You also are sounding very close to being a lefty. Which is fine but I’m not interested in arguing with a lefty. So far in this thread you clearly think the 2020 election was fair, that FOX was guilty of defamation, President Trump lies as much as democrats. Do I need to go on? Trump is the most straightforward president you will ever live under is my best guess. If he says it, it is probably true or he will try to make it so. Yes, he loves hyperbole but unless you are incapable of recognizing trash talk you should be able to figure out he was never going to invade Greenland. As for your specific point. No one in their right mind would have taken that to court as a right wing agency trying to convince a wildly left leaning judicial that the elections had fraudulent elements that affected the outcome of the election. Pure business decision. Literally NY passed a law so that Trump could be sued by that harpy. And then magically one year later the “grandfathering” went away. Getting Trump was one thing allowing old grievances from anybody was a whole different thing. That is the environment FOX was looking at. Either way I yield the floor. I’m done arguing with what clearly sounds like opposition research. I can go many other places to do that.

One very accurate observation from a while ago is: "Democrats take Trump literally but not seriously. Republicans take Trump seriously but not literally." I run into that all the time from lefty TDS sufferers on social media.

Facts are facts. Whether you like it or not. They paid the money, you can't deny that. You can try to spin it, but it is like seeing a kid hiding something behind his back looking guilty and having smears of whatever he was eating around his mouth. However he told you he doesn't have anything. Seems to me the child is lying. BTW, some stuff is just simple. Vince Vince

Yeah, this dude already has showed his colors. "Facts are facts". https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...935/m/8370007415/p/2 "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

Yes, I believe that. You're in the wrong forum to be pulling this stuff.

Why? Is it because you only want hear from people that think like you? Sad. Like the thread linked above, I'm done, you two have nothing new to say and are on the verge of ad hominem attacks. Or as Johnny Rotten said to Sid Vicious in "Sid and Nancy:" "boring Sidney boring!" But in an English accent. Vince

The link I posted was merely to demonstrate the truly stupid shit you have posted earlier. "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

Oh, it's "sad". Are you going to cry? Do you actually believe this kind of crap works on adults? Donald Trump is not the GOP; he's an individual. Has he ever lied in his life? He's human, so, of course he has, but that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about lying as a matter of course, in his day to day, and that's not who the man is. As a matter of fact, he's one the most brutally honest people to ever set foot in D.C. but you can't see it, and I just don't want to hear from people so clueless and so blinded by their hatred. I didn't attack you; I merely answered your question and advised you that you're in the wrong forum. You think you're going to somehow shame me with this you-can't-tolerate-dissenting-opinions stuff? Partner, you have no idea what you're taking about. You couldn't begin to count the times in two and a half decades that I've tolerated dissenting opinions on countless different subjects. Your attitude is what's getting you invited to leave. I will say, though, that of all the subjects we've discussed over the years, you picked the worst possible one on which to dissent. Conservative Americans have eaten shit for decades and we have had enough, and when someone comes into this forum and complains about the attempts to deport a human-smuggler MS-13 gang member who is in this country illegally and calls President Trump a liar, I'm elated at the opportunity to remove such a fool from this forum. So, yeah, you're right- you're done here.

Good, little sad-sack stepped into it good. Makes me wonder why the idiot joined a gun forum to begin with. I've seen a few long-term members ignore prevailing sentiments and suicide by Para. I wonder how ol' Vince justifies California redistricting if he's so concerned about fairness in politics.

That is one of my bigger issues. If you disagree now I expect or maybe even demand that you voiced an issue with past practices. I won’t listen to a hypocrite even if I agree with their position because they won’t reciprocate. Republicans have lost for a long time because of this perception to stay above the fray. It hasn’t worked. Any discussion about striking drug boats needs a couple contextual issues discussed. Prior drone strikes. Instead of stating lawyers agree this is “likely illegal under intl law” state some background, some actual “intl law”, whatever that actually means. Intl law only applies to signatories of said agreements. What laws actually apply to striking pirates for example? Lots of people, myself included at times, throw around opinions stated as facts and many listeners take that as fact. Which is what the main stream media counts on, low information readers taking factually thin headlines as established truth. None of this is settled law. You could take a room full of JAG types and get half the room to argue one way and half the other way. Lots of this “law” predates the last century and a half. It never even considered the concept of narco terrorism. It merely knew a threat to our interests. I think striking any asset that is responsible for killing more Americans than the last multiple wars a year is worthy of doing. Even if the rest of the world disagrees. That is my line in the sand. Nobody suffers by killing killers.

What about those GOP fuckers in the IN legislature that voted with the Dems to reject a redistricted map that would have given them 2 extra seats? A GOP-controlled legislature. Fucking losers. Q
