The reality is some very public outspoken media supported Californians are like that. ( certainly a higher percentage of them in general population than in the red states) Having grown up in NY ( which is the east coast version of CA) what I find is these types are a pretty small outspoken minority with most of the people in general far more conservative or closer to “ normal” In places like NY and CA ( can throw in the other usual suspects WA,OR,IL,NJ) there are just enough of them, and a brainwashed “ dem vote no matter what” racial/ ethnic populations base, to keep the states locked up in leftist democrat politics. If each state had an electoral college type system 2 electoral votes cast per county let’s say, for offices like governor, the dems would be out and likely never be back. If you look at “ blue state” election maps, geographically small urban areas vote solid blue, while large swaths of less densely populated areas are red all the time

[QUOTE If each state had an electoral college type system 2 electoral votes cast per county let’s say, for offices like governor, the dems would be out and likely never be back. [/QUOTE] That would be interesting. NJ with places like Paterson, Trenton, Passaic, etc, vote the state Democatic. Theres a lot of Republicans in NJ. It just might be possible to turn the tide with a state Electoral college. Let all Men know thee, but no man know thee thoroughly: Men freely ford that see the shallows. Benjamin Franklin
