The "Support" page on the Apple website offers telephone or chat connection to an Apple rep. I have found them to be really helpful! It's possible that your watch might have a defective battery; that was the problem with mine, and Apple handled everything for me, at no charge.quote:Originally posted by BennerP220:
I spoke too soon. Having trouble charging it. Keeps going dead then restarting.
If it's one of the watches that has the known defective battery they will replace it at no cost, age does not matter.quote:Originally posted by BennerP220:
Well, it didn’t work out too well. Said it was over a year old, out of warranty and I could send it in a and they give me a repair estimate.
I’m going to try a different charger tomorrow.

Trying a different charger, as you said, is a good idea. Try to narrow down the problem, determine whether it's the watch or the charger.

Yeah, that makes sense. My magnetic charger thingy LOL is not very strong. I may have to get an OEM one.

Recommendations:
- Use only an Apple OEM charging cube for the Watch.
- If the charging cable magnet isn't very strong, that might be a good investment. Mine is so strong I can easily pick my AW up by the cable.
I have an Anker multiple-device charger I usually use. Problem is neither my AW nor my Air Pod case draw enough power to take it out of standby mode. I have to use an OEM Apple cube for those.
<looks...> Yikes! Apple wants $30 for the cable and $15 for that little cube for it.

Just drop by any Apple Store and anyone in there wearing a black T-shirt with a white apple can give you all the tips and information there is about your new phone. If you purchased it at an Apple
Store you likely interacted with one of these folks.
Expect the place to be crowded. Ive never been in one in any city or state I've been that wasn't crowded. Worth it, though.

I've been using a Series 1 (2016 model, aka: "Series 1, Gen. 2") Apple Watch for two years as of June. It's been working like a charm. I love this thing.
Other than lack of water resistance (I believe it's "light splash-resistant," but that's all), I have absolutely no reason to upgrade.
Two words: Apple Pay. On the Apple Watch it's a Beautiful Thing

Notifications. I'm using apps for both our alarm and surveillance systems. I get notifications on my watch for both.
Navigation. The Watch will buzz your wrist and show the turn direction on impending turns.
Count-down timer. I use it all the time. I use the alarm--all the time.
I use the exercise apps when working out--just to track my time and progress.
Did I mention I just love my Apple Watch?![]()
