Chicken in a Biskit is the end all for crackers. They can handle all dips imaginal and are even good stand alone. Ritz are a close second.

The Triscuit is indeed, number one in my book.
Wheat Thins, are a close second.

Some time ago I wrote a program that reports certain nutritional values for any food that I have in the database used by my program. Nutrition values for each food come from the “Nutrition Facts” panel on the food package. The program enables me to specify an amount, so that I can compare the same amount of specified foods.
A couple of days ago I used the program to report on three crackers that I like. Nine ounces of each cracker type. Here are the results:
bash{3}> sbl query.sbl Enter food, amount (ounces)´ or ^D to quit. Kellogg's Club (Original), 9 oz
Food amount: 9 oz Calories: 1275.75 Protein: 18.23 g Fiber: 0.00 g Sodium: 2278.13 mg Protein/Kcal: 14 Fiber/Kcal: 0
Enter food, amount (ounces)´ or ^D to quit. CheezIt (White Cheddar), 9 oz
Food amount: 9 oz Calories: 1275.75 Protein: 25.52 g Fiber: 8.51 g Sodium: 1786.05 mg Protein/Kcal: 20 Fiber/Kcal: 6
Enter food, amount (ounces)´ or ^D to quit. Triscuit (Smoked Gouda), 9 oz
Food amount: 9 oz Calories: 1093.50 Protein: 27.34 g Fiber: 27.34 g Sodium: 1366.88 mg Protein/Kcal: 25 Fiber/Kcal: 25

So Triscuit crackers are not only tasty, but in terms of Protein/Kcal, Fiber/Kcal (and low sodium and calories) they’re superior nutritionally. And despite being low calorie, I find them to be most satisfying to the appetite. Maybe a result of their high fiber. I’ve liked every Triscuit variety that I’ve tried, but Smoked Gouda is my favorite.
PS – Arc and ARMT Guy haven’t posted for some time. Hope all is well with them.
PS2 – Now expecting somebody, having read the first six posts in this old and long multi-page thread to reply similar to this:
“me and the wife like ritz”
Serious about crackers.

Crackers, I have sadly given up crackers, bread, and pasta for the most part. Gas and bloating way down

I always liked original Triscuits, but have recently gotten the Crunchmaster Multigrain 3 seed monkey on my back. Unfortunately the only place I can find them is Sam’s Club.

I'm with Jim on this one...they are great even plain which in my opinion is the standard by which all crackers should be judged. YMMV though.

I've been a Chicken in a Biskit fan for 45ish years and still am. It seems they aren't as chickeny as I remember them as a kid though. Did they change the recipe any over the years to appease the health nut crowd sort of like McDonalds moving away from tallow for the fries (which are terrible now)?

The flavor is pretty good, but they’re too small for me, even when whole. And so many of them are broken. Worse on that score than any cracker I know of.
Serious about crackers.

Checked in with him and all is well. Frank has been catching up on his reading and taking a small break. We talked about doing a SF get together in the Detroit area over the winter.

Triscuit no doubt cornered the market on structural integrity. There is no question about that.
plate of Triscuit, each topped with appropriate sized slice of brisket and a dash of 57 sauce. you'll thank me later.

Triscuit is the ultimate charcuterie base. Love the rosemary and olive oil.

Triscuits, the 'Original' Triscuits w/ Sea Salt, have THREE Ingredients; Whole Grain Wheat, Canola Oil, Sea Salt, and are the Breyers Ice cream of the Cracker domain!

Jim
Are Chicken in a Biskit crackers loose in the box?
Or are they in sleeves, like Ritz and Keebler Townhouse crackers?
