Quickbooks (2020) will not send my customers invoices via email.
"We were unable to connect to your email provider.... -you are not connected to internet or firewall -your email server settings are incorrect -you've entered an incorrect email or password."
I have tried to: 1. shut off my firewall, I am connected to the internet 2. redid my email server settings and tried both my AOL email which I always use, and also tried another comcast.net email to no avail. 3. Re-installed the software.......
I'm at a loss on what to try next........anyone have any ideas.....I've used Quickbooks for 15 years and everything working fine until 2 days ago.
I went through this before but not with QuickBooks. Mine was an issue with the program not being able to work with OAuth.
Has anything else changed on your local network in the house or office? I've also had pihole adblocker mess with Outgoing email (but that's because my old email host had a black listed domain name in the upstream).

Temporarily I have. I do the bulk of my billing at End of Month. I've tried everything, from re-installing the software, to screwing with firewalls, to messing with email settings in quickbooks and on my PC. I have been too busy with work to call quickbooks as their hours are only M-F 8-6. SOOOOO, I called Quickbooks. In order to recieve any technical help from them on the phone you have to pay $299.95 for a year subscription that allows you to download the latest version and gives you technical support. Or they send you some emails on how to fix it yourself for free (most of the steps I've already tried). I am so pissed at this company as this very same thing happened about 5 years ago and they charged me $79 to fix it and I bought 2020 desktop pro about 5 months ago.
So at the recommendation of a friend. I linked Quickbooks to a gmail, email account and it is now working again. Which is strange because it didn't work with either of my AOL or comcast.net email accounts. But I'm happy it's working even though I have yet another email account to monitor. But glad it's fixed and I didn't pay those crooks $300.

I'd say it had something to do with security/encryption settings then.
