Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollars
I bought a stack of these notes a few years ago for $3 a piece. I just looked on eBay and they are now selling for about $65 a piece Eek

Wow I should have invested in Zimbabwe dollars and I'd be a millionaire. Or conversely, if I would have invested $500 in bitcoins way back I would now be a multi millionaire (in real money). A bitcoin is trading at $2550 dollars today. You used to be able to buy them for pennies Eek

That entire continent is fucked. I like to visit Africa some day, provided everyone who is there now goes somewhere else for a while. I want to see the place, but the people inhabiting it are completely fucked.

Apparently, every country in Africa is required to be a backwards, corrupt shit hole.

Everywhere has it's attractions, Europe has history, the Americas has abundant National Parks, natural beauty, Africa has tinpot, lunatic dictators. They're still working on what makes a good "attraction", but they're trying real hard on the tinpot, lunatic dictator thing. Sticking it out with that one. They deserve a little credit for that.

Doesn't that make you the richest man in the world? Who else has 100 trillion dollars?

I bought .38 Special ammo years ago at Dicks when it was $6.95 a box. Wonder what I did with that...

That's a hint, right there.

Interesting, in the desk drawer I have a stack of a million (+-) Iraqi Dinar notes I purchased in 2011 for around $300 US. Checking the conversion it's worth about $800 US right now, wonder who is propping that up?

Any ISIS monetary people here?

Once the breadbasket of central and southern Africa and now can't even feed itself.

No political movement in the history of the world is responsible for more human suffering, death, and the destruction of the individual than communism and its smiling sociopathic cousin, socialism.

Zimbabwe IS what the leaders of these movements have planned for us.

But I sense that the tide may be turning...

Give a flip of the finger to Jimmy Fuckin' Carter to acknowledge the origin of the poverty and suffering of Zimbabwe.

Someone here, maybe Kugel Spritz, or an other low post count gent has real contempt for the peanut farmer; maybe he will post.

That bears a repeat.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

A festering hell hole since 1964. Hell, I guess that would be true for all of Africa.

In a couple of weeks I'll be traveling to Malawi for a short trip (10 days). First time I've been back in 50 years. Hasn't changed much at all, except for the AIDS epidemic and Islamic terrorism. It will be interesting to hear what locals say about Zimbabwe, although we're not supposed to talk politics.
