I’m surprised his empire hasn’t imploded yet, that’s all I got now.

That would actually get me to listen. As of now, I turn it off after X minutes.

Yeah, count me in. I quit listening about 4 years ago.
It just seemed like he was losing his sanity. His emotional state was shaky.

Had tried listening since then, but could never bring myself listen very long on a show.

Rightly or wrongly, when he left Fox and started, what he thought would be his own empire, I decided he was just in it for the money and haven't paid him much attention since.

He first lost me when his site started blasting ads for those jeans they were making for like $150. Yes American Made sweet but I have no interest in $150 jeans. There are plenty made here for less.
Then I heard about all the anti-trump nonsense. Have not been to the Blaze website in many many years.

Not a fan of wackadoos

I listened to Beck when he first started here in the Tampa area but over time he had me looking for my tin foil hat far to frequently and I stopped. He was to far down that crazy road for me.

This. I stopped listening to Beck a while ago. I did not even know he was a 'Never Trumper'.

When he started ranting about nutty end of the world stuff is when I hit the off switch.

I was a follower way back when, drove almost 500 miles to "Restoring Honor" in D.C. back in 2010. I think that was his high point, and from that point on, he faded from my ears.

At one time he was interesting. He'd sometimes do bits on historical events that many had either forgotten or not heard of. Heck, these days when I drop in a Tammany Hall (or Boss Tweed) reference into a conversation I almost always have to go back and explain that. Even know one guy who was a military officer and had to explain what I meant with a Gallipoli reference. I did think a lot of those were interesting and useful.

But one of his biggest issues with the Progressives was how they wanted us to eschew our Constitutional Republic and capitalism, but not say what was on the other side of the door. When he jumped the shark was when he went all "Never Trump", but wouldn't say what the alternative was (in all reality, the alternative was POSHitlary). That's always been my biggest issue with the "Never Trump" group. Once he was the nominee, what was your alternative at that point? None would say.

I do agree that was when he jumped the shark. But you could clearly see him on the skis heading toward the ramp before that. It's just that from time to time he'd do something interesting that was worth watching or listening too. But he hasn't for years now.

I also dug Glenn some years ago. But even then he would say something that made me say "WTF?". That became more common until I dropped him. Like others, this was well before the election.

Yes, sir.
The man went looney way before Trump. Even when he was at Fox, you can already catch a glimpse of it, when he went nut with all the huge charts and graphs.

Yep, I also pushed away from Beck way before the Blaze started. It did not surprise me a bit that he man could never muster any brains to admit Trump was the best man for the job.

I remember a clip posted in this forum of the aftermath of a Beck public appearance; Trump showed up to the room and the press all left Beck to frantically surround Trump. Funny as hell.

He was pretty funny 10-15 years ago - his radio show was pretty entertaining. Long before Trump or the Blaze, even before Obama. He started going loony way back then and I quit listening to him. I quit cable news in 05 so I never saw any of his TV stuff.

This came up on my timeline today:

Is he trying out as Colonel Sanders in those new KFC ads? Big Grin

He even looks loony and unhinged now.

(Insert "Well, Bye" meme here)

My wife was a huge follower for many years - hook, line, and sinker. To the point it became an issue once or twice. I think I used the work "parroting" a few times.

Like others, back in the day, he was cool and I liked listening to him. However, when he jumped the shark and went cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs at the same time, see ya!

Likely. It was so cold that when I stopped for fuel I jumped into the car when the pump stopped and drive away... Fortunately the pump came easily out of the car and I, embarrassingly, went and hung it up. It wasn't the "Christmas Sweater" show, but they were advertising it.

But damn it was cold out.
