Putting Para on the spot/NRA board
I think Para would be a great NRA director - and I think he’d never do it, unless we strong arm him a little bit.

I think we may have the numbers to get him on, provided we all only vote for him.Should Para be an NRA Director?YesYes but we should ask him firstYes but we should strong arm himYes but also run him for CongressNo

BS-3595-C401. In Theory, this will be the "seal" verifying that I am an attorney, and when I was licensed/the authority was last contacted, and confirmed it to be active.

Let the man be. Just running the forum is hard enough. And it is possibly just as effective a pro 2A group as the current NRA.

Missing choice:

The idea of putting Para on the spot is probably inadvisable.

It's flattering, guys. I don't feel put-upon. I got a chuckle out of it. It's all academic, of course.

Let's not make Aglifter feel bad about this. It's fine.

Being a somewhat silent member of this forum, but visiting nearly every day for the past twenty-five years.
I get the impression if that was something he wanted to do it would have been done.
I voted "NO" out of respect of his right to privacy to live as he wishes.
However, I do agree that The NRA still needs a shakeup from the top down.

I will do it on one condition: Wayne LaPierre has to buy me a half dozen of those fancy suits of his.

Nobody else. Just Wayne.

And then, I will be a bull in a china shop- a very well-dressed bull.

Wayne won't be needing his fancy suits.
You about the same size?
I'm sure they can be altered, at least some...

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

And this is what the OP in the other NRA board thread does not understand- we need new board members to lay waste to the status quo in that gutless organization. That severe changes, radical surgery, is needed for gun owners to trust the NRA again.

Be careful what you ask for because in this case it can come true Wink
