Question for the electric acoustic guitar players
I see solid body guitar players using all kinds of foot pedals for sound effects,

I can't remember ever seeing the acoustic electric players
Using the pedals.

Do the acoustic guitar players use the pedals at all?

Can you tell us when for what circumstances?
Please

Yes they do. For compression, reverb, EQ, and whatever other effects they want.

There are acoustic oriented multi-effect units that provide the major functions in a single pedal.

I have both solid body and acoustic/electric guitars…I use the same set of pedals when plugged in for all my guitars

I almost always use a compressor when playing live. It really helps an acoustic guitar sound refined. Reverb, chorus, echo, even attack/decay.

The effects I don't use with an acoustic are distortion, fuzz, etc.

I have always been a purist when it comes to acoustic guitar tone. I want the most natural acoustic tone. I'm not a fan of a pickup on an acoustic, I like the sound with the acoustic mic'd.

I think one of the events that really gave the acoustic guitar a rebirth of sorts was the Nirvana Unplugged concert.

My Martin D28 is 20 years old, I bought it new, and it's been getting better and better with each passing year.
