That is quite true Tac. There are some brands that just have yet to make something that captures my attention. It not that I don’t like the brand name or anything like that it is more that their design elements and aesthetics don’t do anything for me. To be completely honest there is only one single “watch” brand I GREATLY dislike and their name is Apple. That’s a sweet Zodiac Marz, I love the vintage style and appearance. My in-laws gave me a fossil watch decades ago and other than one battery change it’s been a dang good watch. I came VERY close to getting a vintage Zodiac a while back but I had just had a rotten experience with a few vintage watches (and sellers on the fleabay) and was gravitating towards micro brands at that time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

My advice is to find the Tudor that you like NOW before they explode in price, then get the Doxa later. As Rolex increases their prices, the rest are following. Omegas have increased as people are turning to them as the unavailability of Rolex have caused buyers to look at other brands until they can get one. The second hand market has even increased in price substantially. Your $3500 Tudor BB will soon be a $5000 watch and I mean soon. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Having owned a Tudor, then a Rolex, I'd have to agree with Mars_Attacks. Fine watches, recognized most everywhere as what they are. Crazy prices I know, but due to became much crazier I think......YMMV NRA Life

I own the Tudor Black Bay GMT. The one thing I like the most is the vintage look.I bought it at a time they were imposible to find here in the US. I ended up buying it while in a cruise. We were on a Disney ship that has an AD on board. I ended up getting it tax free/dufy free so I saved a couple hundred dollars. Years ago I got my Orange watch fix with a Seiko Orange Monster. I also own a Omega Planet Ocean Chronograph with an Orange bezel. My vote is for the Tudor. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. My plans to visit my AD got shot to hell today. If they still have the BB58 on Tuesday I’m pulling the trigger. I thought about it a bit and honestly went back and forth a few times. I think I’m 99.9% certain if they still have the one I looked at I’m gonna get it. My AD only has the BB 58 I want with a fabric strap. It makes more financial sense to try to get one with the steel bracelet but they don’t have the color I want with the bracelet. I can buy the bracket separately later on and strapcode has a few stainless steel bracelet offerings I like for barely over $100. If their one BB58 blue example sells between now and then it wasn’t meant to be. I’ll keep y’all posted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

There’s always Jomashop or Crown and Caliber. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

My AD has been able to get them on a regular basis lately (central Florida). If it sells see if he will take a refundable deposit to order one on steel so the next one is yours. The best part about this is you should get a watch that has not been handled by people looking at the display case watch. I learned a valuable lesson years ago about buying a watch on anything other than steel if available. I bought a Breitling Avenger II Seawolf on a rubber strap to save a little money. When I went back to buy a stainless steel bracelet I was amazed at how much it cost. Lucky the AD gave me a deal because I bought the watch from him. 71 Truck, You make some good points. The BB58 blue I handled felt great but I didn’t even think about getting one that hasn’t been handled by lots of people previously. My AD said it could take a week or up to a year to get me one on a SS bracelet. I am on the list but apparently not first in line. That’s a big window. She said something about their US distributor being sold out. I am not sure if that’s something with their distributor or what the deal is with that. If you are at your AD anytime soon could you do me a favor and ask them about the Black Bay 58 Blue and availability? If it’s actually going to take months I’ll probably get the one I looked at before on the fabric strap and get a SS bracelet later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Yep, I'm hoping the Tudor too given you already have a couple really nice Doxa homages. And from what I've seen in online reviews, some of the Doxa homages are better built than the real thing. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. I have a few very decent homages of both the Doxa and Tudor. I thought about which homage found its way onto my wrist more frequently and the decision became simple. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

I didn’t go with a Doxa 300T or a Tudor BB58 Blue though I did get a very close and IMO improved variant of one of them. If I say it has a silver dial that’s probably too much of a hint eh? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

New watch day! Well, new to me. I am LOVING my Doxa Sub 1200T Searambler. I could not decide between the BB58 blue or a Doxa Sub 300T when this limited edition #124 of 1200 Searambler became available on the used market for a dang fair price. It’s not perfect but this is one of the more legit dive watches on the market and certainly a great tool watch meant to be worn and knocked around. First impression: This watch looks and feels great! The 1200T uses the same case as the Doxa 300T as far as external dimensions but the 1200T has a larger dial so it looks quite a bit better not that the 300T looks bad but the 1200T certainly improves upon the iconic design. I swapped it onto a brushed mesh bracelet while I look for one or two extra links I can add to the beads of rice bracelet. I really like it on mesh. I suddenly have a few Doxa homages that are obsolete now and at risk of becoming a mod watch or getting cannibalized for parts. And a lume shot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance
