What features or additional apps do you use/enjoy on your smartwatch?

Have a lot of faces but not much else on a Samsung.

iWatch, I like seeing texts, getting direction notifications for turns, and it automatically unlocking my MacBook Pro.

Otherwise that's about it.

All of those, plus I like using the Health/Activity tracking. It motivates me to get exercise every day, move, stand, etc. I like checking the weather before heading out, getting updates on baseball games (when they're playing, of course), and on occasion, listening to music stored on it through earbuds.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I like the texts, I like answering phone on watch when phone is not sitting next to me. For runs and walks the gps feature is fantastic. I get the weather report. The alarm is a haptic type. It rings but it also taps you on wrist which I love. Not jarring but highly effective.

Biggest complaint is battery life. Actually it’s the only real complaint and I work around that fine. 3 days would be nice though.

I've an Apple Watch. (It's not an "iWatch," RHINOWSO. That name is trademarked by another company.)

Beyond telling time, it's got health-tracking features--some of which I use day-to-day and others during workouts. I use the alarms, timers, and sometimes the stopwatch. I get weather alerts, as well as notifications for alarm and surveillance system events; incoming texts--to which I sometimes reply from the watch; display of incoming phone calls; turn-by-turn notifications when I use my phone for navigation. Last but far from least: Apple Pay. I love paying at PoS terminals w/o ever having to take out my wallet. Plus I get notifications on my watch when either my Apple Card or AmEx card are used.

I had a ZenWatch when I was on Android. My Apple Watch is far more useful.

Hearing impaired, so my primary communication methods are text and email. The Apple watch will vibrate and let me know that I have an incoming message.

The watch will alert me when there is somebody at the door, or in the driveway or front yard.

I have lousy balance, had a fall in my driveway three and a half weeks ago. It was not easy for me to regain my feet. The "Help, I have fallen and I can't get up" feature was introduced with the Series 4 watch. It will auto-call 9-1-1 and then notify everyone on my emergency contact list.

I use the timer, primarily for cooking.

As ensigmatic noted, the watch is convenient for Apple Pay, I don't have to pull my phone out at the cash register.

I've got the latest Galaxy Watch (4 I think it is) and its time for an upgrade. Thinking Google for the next one.

Samsung health doesn't do anything for me that doesn't require massive battery drain. I used several Luminox style faces and they are all buggy as hell.

This watch does not play well with my One Plus 7 Pro. I bet it drops bluetooth connection 5-6 times a day.

I have an apple watch.

I like that I can answer the phone on my watch if my phone is out of reach. It has to be paired and close by, I don't have the separate cell feature turned on

I use the EKG app, the exercise, and the text apps the most.

I've done that a few times, myself. I was surprised: It actually works better than I would have thought it would. I think I even made a call from my watch, once, using Siri.

Then, yesterday, I'd had one of my Air Pods in because I was expecting a call shortly. Lo and behold: The call came while I was downstairs, at the opposite end of the house from where my phone was sitting. No problem: The watch had transferred its connection to the phone to WiFi, and the Air Pod had connected to the watch when it got out-of-range of the phone.

Pretty cool Cool

I have had iWatches and several Samsung Galaxy watches. My problem is that I really like having analog hands, and do not use most of the features I paid for in a 'full featured' watch.

I have been wearing my Fossil hybrid for six months and I could not be a bigger fan. What do I love about it:
  • it has nice analog hands
  • It does what I want, and only what I want
  • Weather
  • steps, activity
  • heart rate
  • text and phone notifications.

That is all I use it for. The thing I love the most is the eInk screen. It is like my kindle paperwhite, and actually looks better in when outside.
The criticisms that I have is just one. The night light. It just does not work properly. Otherwise it does exactly what I want. Other reviewers complain about its 'lack of features' but that is not fair, since it does not say it has those features.
Anyway, it is a great option.

**update** my apologies, I just noticed that you stated you already have the Samsung watch. I should read more carefully.

I have had a Pebble, a Samsung and Fitbit. They all worked reasonably well but, I am tough on watches. My current semi-smart watch is a Garmin Instinct Tactical. It's along the lines of a G Shock so pretty much indestructible. It has the functions I want, text notification, alarms and timers I can hear and feel, health tracking and integrated GPS. It tracks my daily exercises and and interacts with the Garmin Connect phone app.

All that and I am getting 5-6 days on a charge.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?
