NRA Atlanta...Worth a trip for the day? Login/Join

I'm a shooter, reloader, hunter, and just general all around gun guy. Am considering driving to Atlanta tomorrow (Sunday) to attend the NRA show...Mostly will just visit the exhibition floor to check out guns, gear, etc. It's about a 3 hour drive for me, one way. I'm not planning any big purchases soon, so I'm wondering if it would be worth the time, gas, etc., for the trip. So, you guys and gals think it would be worth the trip?
Thanks,

Made in Texas, in the good ole' U.S. of A.

Depends on where you're at, but 8 hours of driving plus whatever you spend at the show was too much for me. I've done Blade in one day before and it was just too much.

I thoroughly enjoyed the NRA show when it was in Charlotte but it was only an hour away too.

If I didn't have plans tomorrow I'd have went today and spent the night

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

I just got back from it. Took me about 3.5 hrs from Charlotte but I was there since wed. Had I known I would have given you my hotel room. I was paid up until tomorrow but left today instead. I had a good time. I wouldn't drive there just for the show then drive back same day unless it was at most 1.5hr drive.

What was the exhibit floor 15 acres? Walked it twice in less than half a day. Do not forget parking, and the fact that I-85 South is blocked before you can get to the Convention Center.
