Sorry for your loss. It sounds like he had a full life. Sad that he left the way he did, but I understand it. Prayers for you and your friends.

So very, very sorry for the loss of your friend and mentor. I understand his choice, though it makes me deeply sad. At any rate, he will be fondly remembered by you and the “church crew” of course, but also now by those of us who were privileged to read your memories of him. He sounds like a heck of a guy. My deepest condolences.

I KNOW EXACTLY, HOW YOU FEEL!
In November a similar person in our life was called home.
We think of and miss him daily.

We watch as his family members dismantle his life and treat his possessions with no true understanding as to what it meant to him.

It breaks our hearts.

My deepest sympathies.

Thankfully that was not the case here. I had not met his family before Sunday, but they all seemed to be very nice, caring people who came together to help in a very difficult situation. It was nice to see that he had others who cared about him around him, and I was happy for the chance to meet them.

Sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing

I can relate to the story, being in that age group and having some of my mentors moving on also.

The best we can do is remember them as you did in your post, and to pay it forward in honor of their memory.

I am sorry to read this, but also inspired to spend my time better.

Sounds like Dave knew how to spend his time.

Thank you 92.
