that is being offered on sale at Costco for $150. As far as the brand itself I have been pretty pleased with Karcher products (German designed and made) and just recently bought their residential hard surface cleaning machine for floors that works well. What I am really asking is how useful and effective is one of these small residential steam cleaners for everyday household use? What do you use it for? How well does it do the job? But if you have any specific thoughts or suggestions regarding a particular brand or model please contribute that as well.

I am really interested in how well it cleans mildew and hard water spots on shower tile, glass and stone. Is it good for disinfecting granite counter tops in the kitchen?

Interested in hearing people's experience with these types of units as well.

I see Costco also has a Steamfast SF-275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner for even less ($99.49) than the Kärcher.
