IF the NRA can get its act together, they should sue San Francisco. It shouldn't be too hard to win a defamation tort, I'd think. I can hardly wait to see how this plays out...

Actually, this is just a step in furthering their goal. Think about it. If the NRA is a domestic terror organization, its members are terrorists. If they are terrorists, it is the DUTY of the SF Government to red flag and disarm them. Se? Step by step. Which is one reason why I no longer live in San Francisco.

San Francisco can do whatever in the hell it wants. That place will NEVER see my shadow anyway. "...and the horse they rode in on". "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

What exactly does it mean to be designated as a Terrorist by the City of San Francisco ? Can i get a letter, on city stationary, declairing me one. Seriously this could get real ugly when combined with red flag laws. Using Progressive logic, just owning a gun, or membership in the NRA, would make you ineligible to own a gun.

There's more to this than meets the eye. With this rule; if a company that would normally win a bid to provide a service to San Francisco has connections to the NRA, they'd be deemed ineligible. The Board of Supervisors is denying people their rights under the 1st Amendment and making them ineligible to do business that might form the bulk of their income. Beyond putting them out of work, this directs contracts only towards those who meet the political requirements of the City/County. Guess who can then reap the benefits of allowing their friends to get contracts they might otherwise fail to win? If you realize this or not, NRA members that live in this shithole, are funding legal actions challenging the 2nd Amendment abuses in court and actually winning some of these cases. If these citizens lose a significant source of income, what happens to their ability to file suit? Other ramifications include whether police officers and non-sworn employees of the City/County of San Francisco can be compelled to disassociate with the NRA or face termination. Don't they have rights under the First Amendment? How about training issues? Are police officers going to be improperly trained because they won't have access to NRA resources? Will firearms instructors be required to have ZERO associations with the NRA in order to train police officers? Will cops be disciplined if they receive training from NRA certified instructors? These assholes know exactly what they are doing and the result is an accelerated movement towards a single party system, both on a local and state level. If they succeed in "banning NRA" associations, why couldn't they do the same thing with those who choose to register as Republicans or donate to the "wrong" party or candidate? "I'm not fluent in the language of violence, but I know enough to get around in places where it's spoken."

Ultimately, what you're describing precipitates the total collapse of the state. The state is already on a shaky financial footing (to put it mildly), and further chaos and insanity is only likely to accelerate the state's collapse. If the goal is to collapse the state, they're well on their way.... ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Every man should have several guns. Thats becasue they are not. This is no longer just a group of geographically located Americans who have different ideas and political leanings, these are people who hate this country, and want to destroy it. They are NOT fellow Americans. I feel for those stuck behind enemy lines, but the leadership and those who elected it and keep re-electing it are the enemy Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

San Francisco, the place of my birth and many generations of my family, has been sued by the NRA many times and I believe, has lost every time. The most damaging and recent to my recollection, was the foolish Proposition H measure, which virtually banned handgun ownership within the city. The NRA sued, lead attorney and dragon slayer Chuck Michel litigated, which ended up costing the city $380,000. This set the precedent to strike-down other city's in their attempting to enact/elect such bans.

Power is nothing without control |
Been thinking about this thread for a bit now, and I’m not ok with just saying fuck San Fran and leaving it at that. Whether they like it or not, they are still part of this country, and don’t get to label me a terrorist because it makes them feel better. It isn’t about me feeling insulted or anything like that. They are simply, as the local government, not allowed to bar my access to a god damned thing because I’m an NRA member. They also aren’t allowed to defame me in the service of political grandstanding. They want to say the NRA act like terrorists? Well, free speech, sticks and stones, etc. they want to take an official action as the government? Nope. Not OK. Find another way to throw your tantrum because this shit went too far. Furthermore, if a pro-2A organization does bring a suit against the city, I’d like to know about it because I will give money to support that fight. - Bret

They really have gone off the deep end, lived in the bay area for a few years, a great place, great food, plenty of things to do. Its really a shame for one of the iconic cities of the country to have gone this far off the rails...

I am back in the Bay Area right now. The mood of sane people is what I would describe exhausted euphoria. Discussion of progressives efforts to normalize buffoonery is causing spontaneous giggling among serious people. New this week, no discipline of disruptive students in primary school, now you under no duty to assist police, criminal illegal aliens can shoot young women to death, not get convicted of anything and turned loose in a sanctuary city, Jim Carey expressed a preference for Osama Bin Laden and Debra Messing wants to bring back McCarthyism and blacklisting (although I must admit the more Debra suffers Trump Derangement syndrome, and the more pouty she gits the hotter I find her). In the late 1980s I moved here for the oppertunities, and it has been good to me, but never, in my wildest dreams did i think i would achieve membership in a terrorist organization.
