The Oromo-Americans of Minneapolis are outraged!
Truthfully Minnesota has become such a shithole melting pot that the story only caught my eye because I was not even aware there was any such thing as: “Oromo-Americans”

The Oromo people: An ethnic group inhabiting Ethiopia and parts of Kenya and Somalia.

http://m.startribune.com/polic...-tensions/487073771/

An incident last month in which Minneapolis police officers ordered three Oromo-American men out of their car at gunpoint after a white bar owner thought they might be armed has stirred racial tensions in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.

But department officials said the officers involved were responding to a "credible report" about a person with a gun in a high-crime area, which necessitated a more aggressive response.

Burhan Israfael, a community activist, said he was angered at the way the owner of Nomad World Pub, who called 911, handled the situation. He also questioned why, with all the talk of how aggressive policing has alienated minority neighborhoods like Cedar-Riverside, officers responded in the manner they did: keeping their guns drawn on the men the whole time, even as bystanders loudly insisted they were unarmed.

I believe these people were part of Obamas refugee settlement program from previous years? And probably brought in under the cover of darkness?

Interesting. I thought the land of a thousand lakes was populated with Lutherans eating jello and discussing road conditons.

That was the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”. Nine thousand had to be sold to fund refugee resettlement.

Actually, most of the state is still like that. Just don’t look for it in Hennepin or Ramsey Counties.

I know when I go to high crime areas and here the crowd insist that someone is unarmed, that's enough proof for me!

If they are that offended, they could always go back to Ethiopia.

Thanks for the correction. I hope you still keep your night crawlers in the cottage cheese container in the refrigerator. Enjoy a cold pop. Go watch Fargo again.

Glad to help!

BTW: Cool Whip containers are far superior to cottage cheese when it comes to bait storage.

I actually think Fargo is hilarious and am not the least bit offended by it. While the accent they portrayed is much stronger than you find in most of the state, there are definitely rural pockets where some senior citizens sound just like that. Smile
