SoClean Files Suit Against Philips, Seeks $200M Wednesday, October 13, 2021 PETERBOROUGH, N.H. (October 13, 2021)—SoClean Inc. today announced that it has filed a federal lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts against Philips, the maker of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) devices. The complaint alleges that Philips has misled the public and engaged in acts of deliberate misdirection, placing blame on SoClean to divert attention away from obvious design flaws, including a poor choice of sound abatement foam, which led to its recent voluntary product recall of Philips’ CPAP machines, BiPAP machines, and ventilators. SoClean seeks damages from Philips in excess of $200 million. More... https://www.homecaremag.com/ne...c_id=4680C7280956C7YThis message has been edited. I just got an e-mail earlier this week that said: We are pleased to share an important update regarding your Philips device replacement. Philips received authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the repair and replacement program for devices impacted by the June 14, 2021 recall notification*. With this approval, we are initiating the repair and replacement program that puts patient safety and speed of resolution as the top priorities. Further, we have significantly increased our production, service and rework capacity to deliver replacement devices as fast as possible. Also, we have learned of some fraudulent activity targeting patients impacted by this recall. We want to assure you that Philips will never ask for any payment or credit card information by phone or email. Patient care is at the heart of everything we do at Philips. While we are starting to replace devices, in some cases, this process may take approximately 12 months. We will stay in communication with you regarding your replacement device. If you have already received a replacement device, please follow the instructions included in the box. We appreciate your patience as we work towards a solution as fast as possible. Please visit Philips.com/src-update for more information and answers to frequently asked questions. As a reminder, your device registration confirmation number is XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Thank you for your continued trust. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! Thank you Very little |
Phillips has fucked up CPAP's for everyone, mines 7 years old and due for replacement but their screw up has backed up delivery of replacement machines for people who are not even on their equipment.

Not only that, the price of CPAP machines for those of us who buy them out of pocket and not via insurance has gone nuts. I paid $598 for my ResMed AirSense 10 back in May from a popular online supplier. I took a look at them again recently and that same machine was now $975

I dunno, I filled out the form on line, I don't remember exactly when, and I received a new Dreamstation 2 about a month ago. Not thrilled with it, but it seems to work OK.... "Strange days have found us, strange days have tracked us down." JM
