I’d look toward Waco, lots of affordable land, good medical, still a small town feel. We are thinking about that area in a few years ourselves. "Hold my beer.....Watch this".

I bought 5 acres of raw land close to Webberville, TX which is about 12 miles NW of Bastrop for $75K three years ago. You could get the same lot for $40K a few years prior and now my raw land is now valued to be $150K. Prices are going up fast on land. I like the area we found so you might consider looking around the Bastrop area. NRA Benefactor Life Member

thanks guys..... I will look at some of the other areas mentioned. I feel like I should have bought a piece of property 10 years ago when I looked in TX hill country. You can buy 10 plus acres 18 miles north of Fredericksburg for around $10k per acre. Beautiful area too. That won't leave much left over to build a house bit it could be done. ______________________________ “I'd like to know why well-educated idiots keep apologizing for lazy and complaining people who think the world owes them a living.” ― John Wayne
