I know Disney+ catches a lot of shit around this forum and rightfully so but I saw an ad tonight for this and the wife and I watched it and it was actually really really good!

Based on a 1975 novella, and apparently a big tradition in Canada for an audio version to be broadcast every Christmas. Set in 1957 with a young RAF pilot flying his de Havilland Vampire jet home to the UK from Germany on Christmas Eve:

Strange coincidence with Arcwelder's post in The Lair concerning "The Day of the Jackal"! Both works of Frederick Forsyth.

I bought that book about 45 or so years ago, the late 1970's.

Still have it, it's part of my Christmas tradition to read it every year during Christmas week.

To answer Para: no, we don’t pay for Disney+, our in-laws do for all of their children that have young kids.

Here’s the crazy thing, I came across this movie on a Facebook ad, then went to Disney+ to look for it and it wasn’t anywhere on their homepage. You had to drill way down to even find it almost like they grudgingly didn’t even want you to know about it.

I guess because it doesn’t have all trannies and gays and all the other usual Disney bullshit it didn’t get promoted.

To be honest, it actually felt like something produced by Angel Studios or something

Well, then they are facilitating the brainwashing of their children. They're inviting the enemies of humanity into their home to warp the minds of the defenseless.

There is no Disney ESPN or ABC or woke junk at my house.

But for those that can't get enough.

Disney plans a movie and TV series about Brittney Griner's detention in Russia
