bendableConcert goers, what would you think?
Four of you pay $115 each for good seats , not very good seats to a performer that you enjoy listening too.
It last 95 minutes and you know for a fact that 5 of the 14 songs were lip synched .
they crowd was great , the sound was great, all else was fine.
would you be perturbed?

What venue? What band/group? Where in the venue were you seated? Just how bad was the lip syncing?

ugeestaPerturbed? No.
Would I lose some respect on the bands talent? Likely.
The whole idea of seeing a live show is to see a live show.
As bands get older the singers tend to lose their voices (ie Geddy Lee, Bono, etc.). I dunno, maybe its time to retire then.

tgtshuterYes I would.
I don't want to see any lip syncing at a live performance.
I don't go expecting to sound exactly like it was done in the studio. If I wanted that, I could just stay home and pull it up on youtube.

Yes, otherwise I'd stay at home and watch em on a DVD or listen to a CD.
I hope it isn't Steely Dan/Doobie Bros.
My wife insisted and just bought the tickets.
I told her that the price is too high for what you get now days.
Not in their prime any more and you can't have fun at a concert like you used to.

bertoDepends. Some performers are about the total show instead of just the singing. Did you enjoy the experience?
January 12, 2018, 02:58 PM
rtquigI would be pissed. I go to a live performance to hear a band play live.

January 12, 2018, 03:02 PM
zoom6zoomI'd be more pissed at the asshole who always seems to sit behind me who insists on singing along to every song. And badly.

cparktdJust curious, do some of the past their expiration date acts use backup tracks for a safety net?
It may come down to them being able to continuing to perform for their fans vs having to quit or give a poor performance.

snwghstI’d be pissed if I payed even $5 for a ticket and was obvious lip-syncing. Just proves to me they more into the cash than showing their talent and entertaining
