Question on the application of paint to a surface, noticed when you did the Left (Drivers) hood you went fore and aft, then continued on with a fore/aft stroke when doing the area around the headlight door.

On the right (passenger) side, the headlight door was painted perpendicular to the hood technique of fore/aft method, being done across the door to the center.

Does it matter changing the application of paint from one direction to another on the same surface vs continuing on in the same direction.

Again consider I have the Sgt Shultz degree in paint, I know nothing!

As long as the paint gets on there, it doesn't matter.
That paint is still a fluid for about 30 minutes.

YJ8 Aluminum wheel option, nice.

In ‘77 I bought a new El Camino with F41 Sport Suspension, it came with 15X7 Rally wheels, I quickly traded those to a friend for a set of 15X8’s, looked much better.

Late ‘77 I decided that the YJ8’s would be a,nice addition to it. Working in a dealership gave me some privileges such as being on the spot when someone would nick a wheel when mounting or dismounting a tire, nick one with a impact gun, minor cosmetic damage but a big deal to the customer. We’d have to charge the damaged one off to service policy and stash it for shop use like a used car, etc.

Got them real cheap and also made a couple Corvette owners unhappy as at the time there was a shortage of those wheels for new production cars. I’d get asked “How’d you get those?” and I’d answer “executive privilege” as I was the parts assistant manager at that time.

What is the time window to clear?

Always wanted to do something like this but no where to do (including putting a portable booth).

Congrats on some nice work! Cool

Nice! It's going to look amazing when you finish.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

More importantly, what is the car that shows up between the 'vette and the abandoned Dodge truck? Looks like an RX-7 or 928??

I'll do a color sand / wet sand with 800 and shoot it again. That will take all the flaws out.

Then I'll do the sparkle intercoat. Then 800 sand.
Shoot 3-4 coats of clear and 800, 1000 sand then cut and polish.

The paint will be so deep you could swim in it.
