PHPaulTip on removing Google Chrome
Like many others, I decided to dump Chrome. I did the usual Control Panel/Programs/Remove drill (Win7) and thought I was done.
Some weeks later, I also dumped CCleaner as it was getting WAY too bloated and intrusive. Replaced it with Wise Disk Cleaner which seems to be a good, basic tool. Noticed it was taking several minutes to scan the "Google Cache". WTF?
So I looked up "Removing Google" on Bing (my currently preferred search engine) and found a shortcut I didn't know about: Windows Key + R ("Run" command) and run "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google". Found directories that didn't show up on Explorer and contained roughly 400MB worth of files! Manually deleted that, now the Wise Scanner takes about 10 seconds.

RichardCRevo uninstaller, free version or paid.
I've used both for years.
