From their web site.

"The Cosmic Crisp® is sold out for the 2019 season, but the apple will be back in stores December 2020!"

Remember the old saying that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away?" They now know that it is the quercetin in apples that gets rid of the bad cells.

Cellular senescence is a natural part of the aging process in which cells no longer function optimally. Senescent cells can accumulate over time, affecting the day-to-day function of the healthy cells around them. Senolytic compounds selectively target senescent cells.

The LEF offers a product that gets rid of the bad senolytic cells:

Recently, they upgraded the product when they added apigenin.
You only have to take two capsules once a week.

There is a list of apples have been tested for the amount of quercetin with Red Delicious having the most quercetin. There are other foods that contain quercetin like onions, grapes, etc.

I hope so. I tried them a few times when they first hit my store and I was favorably impressed, although more expensive than others.

Yeah, they were $3.99/lb, I believe. My wife only got a couple, I just wanted to try them out. Not cheap, but a nice flavor. As time goes by and the price drops, I could see it becoming a favorite of mine.

I'd try them. Love Honey Crisps. If these are like HCs, then they'd be GTG for me! Smile

I hate throwing away apples that have gone bad before I've gotten around to eating them. Good-tasting apples that keep a good long while would mean you could stock up.

At one time, I had over 30+ apple trees at one place with mainly Stark varieties. Stayman Winesap was a Stark introduction but is no longer carried. The new introductions have taken over as a fad in my opinion.

Red Delicious is still number one with over 50 cultivars. Honeycrisp has problems with fire blight, storage and bruises easily.

I still try some of the new varieties and found Sweet Tango last in Aldi's for #1.99/pound.

I don't know what they were and the wifey could not remember what she bought but last week she brought in a bag of apples that were no bigger than a tennis ball at most but man those things were really good. Good as any I can remember having. She needs to see what they were and get some more next trip to the store.
