Nice trip, good choice on taking a heavy cruiser for such a long trip, that's what they do best, and congrats on 70.

Looks like a great trip. My current situation doesn't allow me to do these types of trips right now. Look forward to the day I can again. Solo trips are great for clearing the head.
Though 7 years younger than you I'm not sure I want to tent camp any more.

Glad you had what appears to have been a very Happy Birthday!

Just so you know, 70 is a magical age. If you die before having attained it, everyone says "but he was so young!" Die afterwards, it's "well, he had a pretty good run."

Welcome to the geezer club, here's wishing many more.

I bet it's hot there now! I've ridden Utah quite a bit over the years and I love it there. A friend and I started by trailering our DR650 and KLR650 to Moab to ride for 10-12 days then trailer them back. We did this in early Spring for 6 years. After this another friend moved to Phoenix and had a large house with even larger garage so we both left motorcycles there and would fly out each Spring and again in the Fall to ride. Over those years we rode all through the southwest and California, and once up in Oregon and Washington.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.
