Please, SIG-Sauer, stop selling toys, and please stop selling Chinese-manufactured products.

My son sent me an M4 and a 1911 from goat guns, for my birthday. They're quite detailed, for a little model, and the parts move, including the ejection port door. He sent it with some different accessories, and a little mounting "wall". Not something I would have bought for myself, but kinda neat.

They make a miniature rifle rack to put on a desk top. It's definitely unique.

Goatgun is a separate company that makes miniatures, pretty sure it's a license deal with Sig.

They have AK47, 1911, 50 cal, M16A1, bullpup, SR, TSMG the detail and fit is pretty good, have a friend who has the AR15 model.

Not for everyone of course but if you like miniatures on your desk, be it Race Cars, Motorcycles, Corvettes, Barbie and Ken, GI Joe , trains, then this might be something a gun owner would like.

I understand that. Here's wishing the toy maker a long business life.

I received an email from SIG-Sauer today- not Goatguns- about this thing ("WATCH THE VIDEO, LEARN MORE AND BUY NOW") and I was coming into the forum to post about this, when I saw this thread.

It's my opinion that selling toys is beneath what has been one of the world's premier manufacturers of firearms. It's also my opinion that what is now an American company, a manufacturer of firearms for civilians, police and military, should not be marketing anything made in China, and I'm not talking about just swag.

Speaking of which, though- a while back, I received swag from two American manufacturers of parts and accessories for rifles. Both companies sent me baseball caps. The first company (whose name I won't mention) sent me a cap with a tag that read "Made in China." The other company, Blue Force Gear, maker of some of the best rifle slings in the world, sent me a baseball cap with a tag that read "Made in America." Guess which cap I wear. Guess which cap I wouldn't use to wipe grease off the floor of my garage.

SIG is not alone in this; the problem is epidemic, but this is SIGforum, so...

I'm not referring to the toy in question. I am not commenting on the company that makes them. I am talking about SIG-Sauer and SIG-Sauer alone.

I try to never buy Chinese products if I have a choice, but I did buy the AR-15 model from my LGS for $39.99 It looks good sitting on my desk.
