Anyone Here Own A Honda (2nd Gen) HR-V? Was looking to get some feedback on this one. Particularly the 2nd Gen model based on the Civic platform, NOT the 1st Gen based on the Fit platform: ![]() I was thinking of adding this to the list of vehicles to check out for next year for a replacement for my old Mazda, they seem to have good reviews and I'm sure that legendary Honda reliability and lifespan.

Not sure what "second gen" means, but I recently bought my daughter a 2022 HR-V. It's been great.

Yours is built on the Honda Fit platform, so it’s Gen 1 The Gen 2 is built on the Honda Civic platform and came out in the 2023 model year

I have a 2024 HRV and am quite happy with it. The negatives are there - road noise, not the most powerful engine, and the driver's seat (on the lowest trim level anyway) is not terribly comfortable. Everything else is great. I put a $40 pad on the seat and she's good to go.

I've seen reviews and road tests. The only real complaint is engine power. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

Thanks mike_jackmin! Yes, I hear good things about them but the overall complaint seems to be they are a little underpowered but being that it's a Civic it doesn't surprise me. They always have had engines on the smaller end and their torque is on the higher end of the tach. Mazda does the very opposite; larger 4 cylinder engines with lots of lower end torque.
