Ive been looking to bring another dog into the house for a while, not very seriously though. Initially I was pretty set on getting a Schipperke. while watching the World Cup one of those open chest heart wrenching SPCA commercials came on so I haphazardly looked at what the local shelter had available online, they didn't have anything that jumped out at me, mainly pits and pit mixes. So a quick search for local rescues led me to Take Paws Rescue in New Orleans. Out jumped Kenzie a 3 yr old black Tri-color female pure bred Australian Shepherd. I sent an email asking if she was available. She was!! Not your typical rescue as the owners have had her since a pup and needed to rehome. A young couple with 3 youngsters between 5 and a one day new born when I heard from them. Kenzie is not fond of cats and had harassed one of the neighbors not long ago, to which the family was bluntly told if she showed up at the house again shed be shot or poisoned...thus they started looking for a new home for her. They also have a 7yr old from same breeder. They rejected a number of other applications and thankfully I was chosen and adoption finalized this past week. Enough with the story, here are some pics from over the last month..initial meeting to yesterday The other furball is Jameson who is a 15yr old blue merle mini Aussie This message has been edited. Congratulations on your new black-tri. We have three Aussies and couldn’t ask for better dogs. I’m sure she will be loved by your family as much as ours are loved by us. Again, congratulations on searching and finding a dog of such outstanding qualities. ____________________________________________________________ Money may not buy happiness...but it will certainly buy a better brand of misery A man should acknowledge his losses just as gracefully as he celebrates his victories Remember, in politics it's not who you know...it's what you know about who you know

Great dogs, we've had a couple of them. The one we have now is also a pure tri that was a sort of rescue. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.
