I have an Airbook and have it set so that I can send/receive text messages on it the same as from my iPhone. All of the names show up the same way they are entered in my contacts.
Recently I purchases a new iMac. Still able to send/receive texts and they sync with my phone, but the 'names' of the contacts on the iMac do not show up, it is just a list of phone numbers.
Any ideas?

iTunes doesn't exist anymore. Music and Video are now in the Music and TV apps. iDevice synch is now managed in the Finder. Yes, it has not been a smooth transition...

Another common problem is that the contacts are synced with another service (google, O365) and you want to make sure that you are using iCloud for all of the syncing for a better experience.
A few Sigs and some others
