I have finally convinced myself that most tv ads and commercials are written for people with very low double digit IQ’s

If your ad is stupid, most likely your product is as well and if you’re trying to be hip and cool by doing stupid choreographed dances to sell me a hemorrhoid creme there is a really good chance I won’t be a customer.

Pharma ads are the worst. The new pill or injections have worse side effects than the condition you have. Don’t take it. Why risk stroke, heart attacks and death to clean up a patch of eczema

When oh when will I be able to buy an AI-enabled TV that automatically mutes and screen blanks (or shows nice pictures) for all commercial breaks. That would be an actually useful implementation of AI!

They were dancing and happy because their hemorrhoids went away. You should be happy too, and dance..

If it weren't for Big Pharma, there would be no cable news channels. All commercials suck. They are trying to be woke and as a result unrealistic and irritating.

When I had Dish Network I used the DVR all the time. Fast forward through the commercials!

I mow about 8 acres of lawn and meadows. For music I use free Spotify. The only thing worse than dumb commercials, is the same dumb commercial repeating over and over! “ attn shoppers! For a great clean, try Tide Pods”!
I don’t know if they’re limited on adds, or they believe people will pay for add free before going insane!

I haven’t watched them in almost 25 years. Only ones I deal with at all are some low rent bs on YouTube until I can press skip. Even then I mute the volume until it’s over.

This is always going to be a thing however. They keep mining your data for marketing/advertising purposes. The major social media applications are the worst. They are data mining you, and people don’t even know this mainstream fact. That’s why that bullshit is free. How is their product free to you but the company is worth billions? They are the pimp, and you are the whore. They are whoring you out collecting all your data, political opinions, harvesting your friends and family, and capturing every single thing you do, say, or click on. They build a profile that is tied to your name, address, all information they can gather, and sold off to every marketer/advertiser they can hawk it too.

My solution turn it all off.
