Please vote for the HOPE Foundation

Can you expand a little bit and tell us more about exactly what the foundation does? I ask because my father volunteered for many years at a Rescue Mission deep in the heart of Oakland, and he shared with us (his family) a lot about the mindset of most of the homeless men he counseled.

Sure, HOPE Foundation: At least once or twice a week, we go out to a place in Norfolk, Virginia and we distribute home-cooked hot meals with bottle water out to the homeless but we call them guests as we pray they will only be temporarily homeless and soon up and on their feet. We also distribute donated blankets, gently used clothes, and shoes. A few days before Thanksgiving and Christmas we go out and hand out a holiday meal with turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, desserts, and bottled water. We purchase distribute daily or week bus passes. We try to find families that are homeless temporary shelters especially in the extreme weather of summer and winter. People that need to get their birth certificate, Identification, social security, etc so they can get a job, but do not know how or need a ride, we find someone that will drive them or assist them.
