David LeeSiamese Kitten Idea needed
It's a tiny stray which we think is living inside a friends outdoor Flea Market stand for shelter. We first set out scraps from our fish dinner and it ate them. It seems maybe 1 1/2 pounds in size. Very cute. I stopped and bought a bag of kitten food and a half dozen cans of cat food. He's eating. He didnt run away when I was about 3 yards away putting out more food. My friend has all manner of dog cages and transporters in his stand. I am thinking of making him a shelter with old soft sweat pants and the like, inside one of the transporters. My friend thinks he may be living inside a storage bin of stuffed animals. He made it through minus 6 degrees at night. I bet the kitten food will keep him fueled up. Any thoughts on making a little shelter for him? My friend said he will catch him in time and find him a home.

JALLENA box where it is soft and dry, out of the weather, is perfect and all it needs. Add food and water.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown January 03, 2018, 01:47 PM
Pipe SmokerGood on you for caring for that kitten.

GWbikerI don't have any pets, but I would take the little guy in. Lure him inside with an open can of "Fancy Feast"?

David LeeI think he is eating the canned cat food for now. Cant tell if he tried the kitten food. I thought about a box. It gets windy and rain here. There is a little igloo looking cat waste box which has never been used. Its small and maybe with soft materials inside, he would stay warm.

Skins2881Step 1. Bring to vet for checkup and shots
Step 2. Bring home
Step 3. Spoil
Step 4. Repeat Step 3
Step 5. Repeat Steps 3 & 4 as needed.

Take it in NOW! It's only luck that will get a cat through weather like that, especially one with a thin coat like a Siamese! Food and unheated shelter, away from human help, won't last long.

Soon enough there will be a picture of him in your recliner, wearing your slippers, smoking your cigars, and drinking your 25 year-old Scotch.
Good on you. One of my favorite felines was Chia-Ming, an Applehead Siamese who self-rescued himself from a cage at the shelter and into my home. He did it by getting out of his cage and onto my shoulder. He slept there until the night I rolled onto him. Then he moved to my feet.

David LeeI cant keep him but my friend said he will try and catch him. He is somehow keeping in out of the cold. I first saw him next to a opening under a steel shipping container. I honestly havnt seen where he goes at night.

flashguyOnce caught, it is important to have a Vet give it a complete checkout. (It won't be cheap.)
All my indoor cats were born outdoors to feral mothers (one of which still frequents my yard and eats there). There are 3 feral cats that I feed in my yard, and they have a shelter there--they have all been neutered, so I don't get any kittens.
I have no doubts that the little Siamese kitten would make a good pet if captured and socialized soon.

jhe888Good for you. It will make a sweet pet.
The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything. January 03, 2018, 04:15 PM
David LeeWell I just checked and he is still at the feeding spot. He is done being hungry. Joe and I will keep after him. Tomorrow, I will make him a shelter to stay in.

Except for that pesky Universal Truth that Siamese are just little bags of evil, wrapped in fur.
(At least, the one ex-Mrs had was....)

YooperSigsI had a Siamese cat once:
Loud - Very meowy. Yowling too.
Smart- Was a master at opening cabinets.
Athletic - Impressive leaps and jumps.
Judgmental- It hated a lot of my friends.
Stealthy- The ambush foot attack was a favorite.
Your life will now become much more chaotic!

David LeeThat's funny Yoop. I honestly cant have a pet now. We will find him a home when he gets used to people being around.

flashguyOne of my indoor cats appears to be a mix of Seal-point Siamese and Manx (no tail, high rear quarters). She does not talk at all and doesn't attack me either.

David LeeThe keekee is having chicken and salmon with gravy. He went right to it seconds after I walked away. Nice to see him eat.

Ex-Mrs had one like this... as a non-fan of cats, I liked this one. He was calm and laid-back (relatively), and couldn't jump onto the counters. Not a bad critter at all.

just1tymAny photos of this little rascal?
