Overstock CEO resigns and writes of involvement with Maria Butina and Hillary/Trump investigations/Deep State and Warren Buffet
To quote Para, "I think his little riverboat captain has left the wheelhouse..."

"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

The guy is either a true patriot or completely nuts. Could be both.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I watched the interview. I thought he might have been on acid.

This article by Sara Carter, with accompanying letter from Maria Butina’s attorney, makes a lote more sense:

Good golly Ms. Molly this is nuts.

The guy sounds crazy because the people running the DoJ WERE (are?) INSANE.

Fuck.

The CTH article posted above made me think there is a very serious side to Byrne's story.

Set aside for a moment that he seems strange in the interviews.

He had a romantic relationship w Russian Maria Butina

He is saying that senior people in the FBI came to him and asked him to introduce Butina to the Trump, Rubio, and Cruz election campaigns.

He did that.

Now that all the FBI lies and corrupt activities are coming out, he realizes he was tricked.

But here he was, CEO of a successful company.

He talked to the DoJ about what the FBI had him do. He probably expects this will come out in one of the DoJ reports (assuming we ever get one)

He knew he would be outed as a person who assisted the FBI in planting a Russian national in the Trump campaign environment. A Russian that the FBI could then point to as "evidence" of a Trump campaign / Russia collusion.

He was in fact, a part of the FBI conspiracy to set up Donald Trump.

He decided to resign as CEO probably to help save his company from the blowback of what he did to assist the FBI traitors.

From CTH:

"these rank-and-file FBI agents were asking Patrick Byrne to be a civilian handler of a Russian national, and instructing him to carry out a covert counterintelligence operation"

adding: this FBI dirty trick operation started in the Sep to Dec 2015 time frame.

No doubt the dude is off, but removing that from the equation, everything else makes sense. At least to me it does.

Thanks for the additional info and explanations. I wish he had consulted with some PR folks or something before he came forward because much of his story has been corroborated, but the disjointed way he presented it undermines his credibility. It actually makes sense now, the FBI was trying to goad him into introducing this Russian to the Trump campaign so they could then do a 'gotcha' on her being on the inside.

I didn't watch the interview but here's my two cents anyway. I've worked with some really brilliant people who were very successful. I've noticed that the more outstanding they are in terms of talent and intelligence, the more something else is off or missing. Their mind works a differently from the rest of us. Many of these people were socially inept.

This guy is obviously very successful so he may be one of those i.e. highly intelligent but very strange.

I as well know people like that. Perhaps a mild case of Asperger's. Who knows.

'Fled', baby, fled. He did not saunter, sashay, mosey or amble. He fled, rapidly and in a panic and with great confusion.

With arms akimbo! Razz

Ain't nobody ever gonna be able to get his riverboat off that sandbar!

It's hard to take some of these CEO types seriously, for some reason... Wink

I saw his "interview" on FN seemed a little bit mentally disorganized to me. I think I'll wait for the IG's & AG Barrs report.
