I launch them ONE night of the year (Saturday night of the 4th weekend).
We start as soon as it gets dark and are done by 10pm.
Not a fan of the weeknight and 11pm fireworks that start mid June and go into August.
As far as dogs go, I listen to everyone's dogs barking year around so they can deal with one night of fireworks

What about this . All the county parks open wide up for 24 hours for any one and every one to blow up their fireworks.
No admission or feed. So now the people in the cities can rest easy.
The lady across the street had her Yorkie in the fenced in backyard last Saturday.
When the neighbors three houses down started in with the fireworks.
Six minutes in they got a knock on the door. The dog found a way out of the back yard got hit by a car and died.
She felt horrible For six years both of their dogs did fine in the basement.
