So no mention in the article, did her avatar have a rape kit performed? Did the attackers leave behind any code or were they wearing virtual condoms? Is she going to get tested for STDs and malware?
I hate it when they leave out the critical details.

Lefty SigCurrent law affecting computer software is based on literary copyright. Since the "assault" occurred in a software program, it is legally similar to writing a message or email about having sex with the recipient. Last I checked, words are not physical assault.
Worst case they get kicked off the platform, but then they can rejoin again with a different ID. Zuckerberg wants something like "Ready Player One", but it's already a race to the bottom...
