How are the drugs? Have they dried up a bit? I ask because Trump announced April 1st, he is fighting the war on drugs on the water and at the border really seriously right now and has allocated a lot more resources to stop the flow coming in.

Here's a REALLY good article on it (go to the article to read it):

"President Trump Announces Major Drug Interdiction Effort Targeting Central American Cartels…

It's frightening looking at the list of released killers linked to the article by oddball. There's a clear reason why they were in jail.

Where's all the improperly incarcerated pot smokers we heard about for years- They could safely be released.

Drugs are still widely available.

We've been getting slammed with Xanax specifically lately.

The Iowa City P.D. is getting numerous calls , on a regular basis about groups of ten or more congregating in an un-responsable way

In my city, stuff was slow at first. Then it blew up. The good folks of the inner city started having large block parties with hundreds of people. Inevitably, people were shot, property was damaged, people were arrested.

When people operate under a different set of rules in normal times, it only gets worse in a crisis.

In New Orleans after Katrina the illegal drug distribution network was seriously disrupted for a time. That has consequences for citizens having to deal with addicts looking to get a fix at any cost. Hospitals and pharmacies were the first target.

Another to be released was shot by officers when he was trying to intentionally run them down as he was being taken into custody on a warrant. The underlying charges? Theft and trafficking of over 20 guns. However, his charges aren't considered "violent" by state sentencing guidelines.

It's going to be bad soon.

This is what I'm worried about. Our 911 calls have been down a little but admin calls were up. They just released a another slew of those NVO's from jails all over the state. Many of them have violent backgrounds but were in on NVO's, so they're eligible. We already had a major increase in property and violent crimes. The general tension is rising in town. It's almost palpable.

We must work in the same city in Ohio. Things have dried up except for the parties, shootings and stabbings
