I am posting to ask you to consider donating to help a police officer, single mother, and truly good lady. Officer Brandy Casperson was struck by a drunk driver while sitting in her patrol car on an interstate, attending to a separate collision, over two years ago.
Police Ford Explorers are designed to be survivable in a 70mph rear-end collision, however the injuries are still grievous.
I was there that night and I have followed her progression closely. I can say with confidence that hers has been the most mis-managed workers comp case I have ever seen. Weeks of not getting paid by the third party vendor on multiple occasions, getting completely forgotten about between case workers quitting, truly mind boggling. One step forward and two back.
When officers are killed in the line of duty, the support is thankfully overwhelming. Unfortunately when they are injured they often become damaged goods and are lost in the cycle of workers comp and light duty, with loss of income and mounting ancillary costs. It is my mission to help these officers as much as I can, the feeling of loneliness and despair they experience can only be imagined. Officer Casperson has maintained a positive outlook and her only desire is to recover and return to full duty, despite these challenges.
Please consider helping.
Thank you.

RogueJSKJust a quick question before donating:
The details of the GoFundMe state that it's for injured officer
Brandy Casperson, with the campaign description provided by
Kaite Abert.
But the organizer is listed by GoFundMe as
Amanda Huffman, and most importantly, the final checkout page says:
"Your donation will benefit Amanda Huffman".
Is that legitimate, or is something screwy with GoFundMe? Shouldn't that be
"Your donation will benefit Brandy Casperson?"No chance of Amanda Huffman running off with the money, or giving Officer Casperson 10% and keeping the rest, or similar?

chongosuerteIt is legitimate. The two other officers (Huffman and Abert) are working together to do this. I am close with all of them and have been involved.
Thank you for asking.
