I've got two:

Micro-Mark The Small Tool Specialists. They sell unusual tools and supplies primarily for model makers. Lots of cool stuff that would be difficult to find anywhere else.

American Science and Surplus. Magnets, lab glass, and almost anything else. I've wasted a lotta money over the years with these guys.

Sadly, my favorite, Lindsay Publications, recently closed their doors. They specialized in reprints of many old mechanical manuals and such. And their catalogs were a hoot.

I've ordered quite a few things from the first one you listed, Micro-Mark.

Another great one along the same lines if you like to tinker with wood.

What a great thread! I look forward eagerly to more posts.
Too bad about Garrett Wade, Whole Earth Access, many other sources for tools that went away or lost their luster.
For that matter, how about Allied, Lafayette, and other long-gone mail-order electronics catalogs?

Stay away from American Science and Surplus. They've got lots of shit that you don't need but will have to buy just because it's so cool.

I’ll second this. Great customer service as well. Order from them several times a year.
