Which jurisdiction do you think has good numbers?

I doubt if any of them have clean books?

Maybe New Hampshire, Tennessee, and Nevada

It may not mean anything but the Somali's in Nashville largely come from the Bantu clan/tribe. The Bantu fled from the other tribes.
Memphis is another world and not claimed by other Tennesseans.

All perfectly legal as long as you fill out a form and declare it. As I understand it there were periods where a $1 Million a day was being flown out of Mpls airport in suitcases. My question is, why they heck does the government have the form if no one reads them, investigate and doesn't shut this down? Local Minneapolis Fox News did a story on this in 2018. Lots of people were aware of this and it didn't get shut down.

There's a reason the working, tax paying folk are pissed off.

Things that make you go, "hmmm..."

Joe Blow gets pulled over with $7,000 in cash in the car on the way to buy motorcycle, and the cash is seized as "Civil Asset Forfeiture" on the guess that the money was illegal in some fashion.

Hundreds of Somalis drive to the airport with millions in cash, and not one gets pulled over and has the cash seized.

It's almost like instructions were given.

I would like to apologize to anyone I have *not* offended. Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

From FinCEN email today:

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued responses to frequently asked questions pertaining to the Geographic Targeting Order (GTO) announced last week by Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. The GTO requires all banks and money transmitters located in Hennepin County and Ramsey County, Minnesota to file reports with FinCEN of certain international funds transfers of $3,000 or more. The terms of the GTO are effective beginning February 12, 2026, and ending August 10, 2026.

Revival of an old thread? I had to go three pages deep to find it.

Anyhow make of this what you will. This guy is either genuine or he is considerably smarter than your average Somali and doing a head fake to sell books. I want to believe it's the former.

When I first heard this story I checked the current laws and found that any amount above $10,000 requires completion of form FinCen 105. I reasoned that if $10,000 was the limit and there is a control mechanism, the story was exaggerated. My thinking is that carrying an amount 100 times the allowable limit should require a bit more investigation. I should note that I worked for a financial services company and, although I did not handle money, I was required to complete annual training in the appropriate laws. The company took this stuff very seriously.

Boy was I wrong. Now I am seriously pissed off. Millions in cash passing through security and no investigation. There isn't a punishment extreme enough for the perpetraitors (spelling is intentional) and enablers. Lock em up in CECOT.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

As a side note to all this. I remember that a particular church was in on the scam. I remember reading about it years ago. Wonder why it is not part of the story now?

Ok, so...
I'm gonna cry about "weaponizing the justice system and threatening political opponents." I guess the libs doing this over the last 4 years with their "get Trump!" campaign doesn't qualify as a foul, but legitimate legal action against demonstrated fraud does?
