Took the advice from here about Speed Queen, wow were you guys all wrong
Month or so ago asked about speed queen and the kool aid flowed quick and deep. Wow just. Wow. What a overpriced hunk of shit this fucking trash machine is
Had it plugged in and didn’t even make it one cycle before it shut down and won’t drain or spin out.
This thing can suck my left nut.
Store isn’t sure they can take it back since it’s now a used unit.
Unit doesn’t drain and doesn’t spin. This message has been edited. Last edited by: ThankGod4Sig,

There was some sort of brace on mine, that supported the drum for shipping. That would certainly prevent the machine from functioning if not removed.
Yep all out of it.
It washes then freezes up on drain and or spin.
It’s cooked. And I shouldn’t have to have a repairman out before the thing is used

I've been there. I understand the frustration.
But think about it this way. You just got a brand spanking new P320 but somehow it is not working correctly. Or it has a gash the size of the Grand Canyon across the slide. What could you do?

So if someone buys a Glock G19 with extraction problems when they first shoot it, the rest of us just drank the Kool Aid?
Sorry you're having issues, but having been an owner of a Speed Queen washer/dryer setup for 9 years, I'd still buy again, even after reading this thread.

I'm going through something similar with a two drawer Antarctic Star semi-built-in under-counter beverage refrigerator. Spent all afternoon yesterday unpacking and setting it up. Waited 4 hours before plugging it in. No cooling. Click, the compressor goes on, 5 seconds later click, the compressor goes off. Repeats every 3 minutes.
So I spent all morning today repacking this 99 lb. POS back into the semi-trashed shipping box the same way it was originally packed. Got the box nice and secure. UPS is picking up the POS on Monday. Another one arrives Wednesday.

Last time I bought a Washing Machine I remember it having a shipping bolt that secured the basket inside to keep it from moving, but since you said you removed all that I have no idea, only heard good things about Speed Queens.

That's not an answer.

That's just plain Goddamned rude and childish.

I bought a Speed Queen set and they have been amazing! The first washer had a serious problem caused by the delivery people. If the store is not making it right, call Speed Queen as an actual human American person will answer the phone and either pressure the store, or they as the manufacturer will make you right. I would not write them off so fast as they are a great American company who stands by their product even if a store won’t. I say this from my experience.
I was frustrated like you when I called, but I was very polite with the person at Speed Queen who was compassionate and very knowledgeable so I would encourage you to take a few breaths before you call.

Brand new shouldn’t have to have someone come out.
Go through the store or Speed Queen and they will send a Speed Queen certified tech for free to look at it.
In my case, the washer was damaged due to the delivery people from the store so I was not accepting a repaired one as it was brand new used only once. I was made whole with a brand new washer.

This is a ridiculous reaction to something that all consumers have experienced at times, but what sticks in my craw is the blaming of people who tried to help you. Incredibly rude. Grow up.
When you finally manage to calm the fuck down and regain your perspective, you owe apologies to some people around here. If you're mature enough, that's what will happen. If you're not, that's your problem alone.
