I understand what you’re saying, but there are still a bunch of us that are trying. I got fed up when the county GOP started forcing an unqualified Sheriff candidate (3 years actual LE experience, and the remaining 11 doing clerical work) down our throats and I started fighting back. I entered the race myself and am now headed to a primary battle in a couple weeks where the unqualified candidate wouldn’t even show up to a meet the candidates town hall where he might actually have to think on his feet and not just provide some vague political garbage that he was told to say. I peaked behind the curtain, didn’t like what I saw and decided to try and make things better. I’m finding that so many people that I’ve met and talked with feel the same way, are frustrated with business as usual politics, and want a sheriff that will stand up to the socialist craziness in NY, and do something besides enhance themselves.

I’m not suggesting that everyone do this, but I am suggesting you get involved in local politics. The lack of involvement in local elections is shameful, and until this year I was guilty of sticking my head in the sand on local issues as well. We can’t expect to compete on the national level when we have no ground game at the local level. Get involved and let your voice be heard! Yes it’s work, and takes time from other things, but it’s the only way we will take back our country.

Big difference between most of NYS and NYC.


Not so much since Hochul's new rules.

Yeah if you defend yourself in NY, you better have video of it, because after you defend yourself from the criminal, you'll need to defend yourself from the county/state.

That's where I live, I could stop an active shooter who just murdered a dozen people and the only thing I know for sure is I'm getting arrested and all my firearms are being taken away. Because that's the way it works here.



I know a women, while going through her divorce she had to file an order of protection against her soon to be ex-husband. She did, and the first thing the county did was pull her pistol license and take away her handguns. (you know, when she might actually need them the most) Nice huh?
